St Agnes Place Squat was the longest running squat in London. For 30 years the 21 houses were occupied by a wide range of people from many countries and diverse walks of life. The street was also a well known Rastafarian enclave often visited by Bob Marley on his trips to London. In 2005, riot police entered the street leaving 150 people homeless overnight. By 2007 Lambeth Council finally demolished the last house.
